The new one, "Mouse 6 - Nulaxy Ergonomic Mouse" feels and works great. The only change I can see is that the logo on top is smaller and gray instead of white. $13 for 2 years of use is not bad. I will put a pillow and blanket on the right side of my stand-up desk to protect it if I knock it off the desk again.
[2021 Review]
I just received the Nulaxy 2.4G Wireless Vertical Ergonomic Mouse in the mail today. Other than the funny name, I love it! They should name it "Stuart Little", "Ben", or "Mickey" instead of "Nulaxy"!
I switched to a vertical mouse for most tasks in 2012, and I would never use an old-style horizontal mouse for work again. Using a horizontal mouse for 8 hours a day lead to nerve and muscle inflammation and the development of strange muscles in my forearm. Now I only use a horizontal mouse when travelling.
This is my fifth vertical mouse, of four different brands.
Anker - roller broke after only a few months use - just spun, no clicks; I had two of these, both broke rather quickly. Anker has stopped making vertical mice.
Etekcity (images, on left) - loved it until I misplaced the USB dongle (cannot be replaced); when I found it again, the mouse worked great for a few months, then suddenly last week it would not click properly in cells in Excel or on objects on an AutoCAD drawing. I had to use my travel mouse to finish my work that day.
VicTsing - I dropped this mouse ONE time, from my bed to a rug on the floor, and the scroll wheel broke -- it has no "clicks" and only rolls, no line-by-line advance. Goodbye, Vic!
Nulaxy - Love it so far!
Pros:
(1) Packaging: Love the "frustration-free packaging"! (recyclable cardboard box and a small reusable bubble wrap bag.
(2) Easy set-up: I put two "AA" batteries in (not included) in the battery compartment. I removed the USB dongle from the battery compartment, and I put it in my laptop. I turned on the mouse button, and the Nulaxy was off and running!
(3) Finish: I love the finish. It is soft like silk! The mouse fits my large-sized women's hands very well. It would fit up to a men's medium sized hand well.
Cons:
(1) The only thing I would improve with this mouse is that I would add a little indention for my pinkie finger with a ridge above the finger. My Etekcity mouse had that, and it made it easier to pick up and reposition the mouse when I "ran out of screen".
(2) Being more "vertical", I have already almost knocked it off my desk when reaching for it. I will have to be more careful with my hand.
Neutral: The mouse is more "vertical" than my Etekcity mouse -- it is shaped more like my Anker or VicTsing mouse -- but I actually think I like the more vertical shape better. It's a very natural "handshake" positionl
(2) This is for mouse users who operate a mouse with the right hand. There are other mouse choices for those who operate a mouse with the left hand.
Buy one -- you won't regret it!

Works well with MacBook Pro touchbar edition— though it is worth noting that because this is not a true Bluetooth but rather uses the connectivity USB, you will need an adapter if using a newer MacBook with only USB-C ports.
I don’t personally have a use for all of the buttons on it, but the back button has gotten adequate use out of me.
Overall, this mouse is a great buy, especially if you’re hesitant to use a non-traditional mouse like i was. It is comfortable and feels like high quality material. The mouse isn’t a shiny, cheap-feeling plastic but feels like a matte plastic and is very comfortable on the skin.
Takes 2-AAA batteries (not included)
