    NOT worth your money
UPDATE: Recently, I noticed a significant drop in average speed in speed test (from ~200MB/s to ~20MB/s). The modem also loses complete internet connection more frequently. Very disappointed.UPDATE 2: It turns out because of the lack of up-to-date firmware from ASUS, Comcast has stopped supporting this device. I am getting basic speed because this device is NOT supported.I know the headline sounds confusing, but hear me out.I upgrade to this device to use with Xfinity Gigabit Service. It was a major upgrade compared to my previous device so I was happy with the speed I get. Multiple devices connect at ease with a proper speed in any device. It can handle a decent amount of smart devices and huge amount of computer, laptops, and tablet. The device does not get ridiculous hot even being used throughout the day. I do have to reset here and there but it is insignificant. Now, here is the part where it is not satisfying.1. There are weird corners where wifi is not stable. I understand the house structure can be tricky in some areas but I do not want to think about wifi when I already position my router in the middle of the house.2. I was messing around with the settings and I found out CPU1 is always almost full and yet CPU 2 is never above 5%. I tried to look up solutions but there is no promising resolution. I was hoping for an update in software but a year passes by and no software update is insight. On ASUS website, the section for firmware update is just greyed out.3. I noticed recently that my modem does not get the speed as high as I would see. For a gigabit service, I would expect to see a few hundred MB/s when I perform speed test but it always seems to max out at 30 - 40 MB/s. Looking into the matter further, I realize this device does not support DOCSIS 3.1, which is needed for Xfinity Gigabit Service. I am disappointed. Even though the speed I am getting right now is already good for me, it is not satisfying to see less than 50 MB/s in the test result.
