Doesn't work as advertised
1 Star
Doesn't work as advertised
First off it arrived with an extension pole damaged (one end was "squished" a little and out of round). But my biggest complaint and reason for the 1 star review is that it does not work as advertised. The flap/slide as designed does NOT roll out and down as it is pushed up the roof. I noticed a few reasons for that:1) The flap/slide does not roll up evenly and therefore friction holds it against the arms.2) There is no weight or anything on the bottom (the very end of the flap that hangs down) of the flap/slide to counter that friction.3) The bar the flap is attached to is NOT attached to the wheels. So the wheels spin and just pull the bar with the flap/slide on it through the snow. The premise is as the wheels turn up the roof the flap unwinds. But there is NOTHING to actually encourage that behavior by the flap/slide. So it just merrily gets pulled up the roof and never unwinds.I used this on a shallow pitch room with about 6" of snow on it and it ended up breaking up the snow and only by me pulling it back down did any snow come off the roof and that was from the wound up flap/slide acting like a rake (Which is what i should have purchased in the first place).

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality control
Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2022
Bought this before winter to have available if needed. Finally decided to use it after recent snowstorm. As shown in pictures, the hole in the handle is at the wrong spot and the locking pin will not engage. This is at the Y-shaped part of it, meaning it cannot be assembled. The return window closed a long time ago, so the money is wasted. But more importantly, Snow Joe proved unreliable and failed me in time of need. Just go to your local hardware store. That's what I ended up doing
