****If you are having troubles with connection read this****
First of all I tried a handful of the top wireless headsets before landing on this one including Razer Blackshark V2, Corsair Virtuoso, Steelseries Arctis 9, Steelseries Arctis Pro wit Dac. The Audio Technica ended up being the most comfortable and best suited headset for my needs. I use these primarily for phone calls (several hours a days), music, and some gaming. The ATH-G1WL had the only mic that was consistently good across all of my programs as well as had a very natural sound. Some of the others had slightly better sound but only when you adjusted them properly in the software. I liked how this one used no software and just sounded really decent out of the box.***Now, the number one complaint I have seen on amazon as well as youtube is wireless range and signal drop randomly. I did experience this quite often. I would get random drops even sitting less than 3 feet from the receiver. I reached out to Audio Technica about this and they had a fabulous solution! They recommended using a USB 2.0 port for the receiver as they have identified interference issues with the power associated with USB 3.0 ports. I had my receiver hooked into USB 3.0 so I figured it was worth a shot. However, I didn't have any USB 2.0 ports on my computer. So I dug out an old USB 2.0 extension cable I had that was about 3 foot long and tried it out. I used the same port but ran the extension next to my computer case and plugged the receiver in. Since then (several days ago) I have had absolutely zero drops where I used to have several per day! Now I can walk into other rooms of my house without losing signal! I honestly did not expect this to work but I am very impressed with the signal range. It is similar to the range I got out of the Corsair Virtuoso and Steelseries.I was so close to returning this headset but I'm so glad now that I stuck with it. I've had a few friends also pick up a pair and they are very pleased as well.If you have any troubles with pain on the top of your head from these get yourself a set of Dekoni Audio Nuggets Headphones Headband Pressure Relief Pad, 4 Pack. Put one on each side of the small headband pad and it will go away (see picture)! I now can wear this headset all day without any fatigue!!!Great job Audio Technica however, you could improve on your information as I saw no comment about signal issues associated with USB 3.0 in the manual.
