I got my first RV, a brand new TAB from a dealer when someone bought it and couldn't back it into his driveway. He made some small modifications to it and then brought it back to the dealer. So I got a good price because it was hard to back up for the original owner.
It has taken me a number of years to get better at backing up (mostly because we have had some family issues that interfered with camping) but the one thing that I have trouble with is when I can no longer see where I am putting the trailer. Maybe I just don't have enough faith in my memory of what's back there, but not being able to see what's there makes it a bad experience.
My camper came with a Furrion pre-wire, which is getting to be standard. The pre-wire is actually a small plastic mount on the rear of the camper with a ground wire and a hot wire that comes on with the camper running lights, usually activated by switching the tow vehicle parking lights on.
The camera and monitor worked great the first time I turned them on. I mounted the camera on the back of the travel trailer (an E-Pro 20BHS) and back at the truck turned on the lights, and it came right up.
It is a little tricky to get the camera aimed for seeing back down the highway and still being able to see exactly where you are putting the trailer, so it took a little bit of trial and error.
It may be that my Furrion mount was a little off symmetric, so I eventually had to add a little spacer on one side so that the guidelines showed me exactly where the trailer was going. The photo shows the initial alignment. The two boards are the exact alignment.Ignore that moire pattern. That is my phone camera's fault.
I have had a dash cam for years and of course a back-up camera on my truck and cars, and this is about the clearest image I have see.
I really didn't want the monitor up on the dash or near the windshield because I am concerned about the airbag deployment and where it would go. So I mounted mine on the floor of my Silverado. I basically mounted it on a piece of plywood with weights and covering to match the carpet.
Like I said, it works well and I look forward to testing it on a long trip next week.
EDIT: It worked perfectly on the highway. I only got up to 75 mph, but there was never a glitch or a drop out. I did notice that the camera has a short shutter speed in the day time, so the road sometimes has a little bit of a strobe effect at highway speeds. I am getting an SD card to record video, and I'll check out the night time performance as well.
The performance for this price is unbeatable. They are also sending a free accessory, and I selected a license plate mounted camera. That should allow me to see the hitch as well as the back of the RV. I put off getting a rear view camera for a while because I was dreading the installation. This makes it easy.

I purchased this unit in 2021 and it worked great, so I bought an extra camera. Pairing was easy and it worked out of the box. Then in 2023, two of the buttons on the monitor failed. Amtifo does not sell just the monitor for their systems. But their great customer service department did help me out and eventually I ended up with a "free" replacement system. Here's where it gets wonky.
The current gen Amtifo A8 has increased range, better clarity, and it cuts out / drops signal far less than the last gen system. The split screen functionality is also a bit better. The images are compressed to fit (almost) the entire view into a smaller space. So you still get about as wide a field of view as you'd want, even with a shortened HxW ratio. However, the upgrade in hardware specs means that cameras previously compatible with the A8/A9/A10/A11 systems are no longer compatible with the current gen A8 system. So while I got a replacement unit for the monitor (including one camera), I still needed to buy an additional new camera to bring me back to square one.
You can find great deals on the A8 system from time to time. In fact, I waited for the right deal and I got a second A8 entire system for less than it costs to buy just the compatible camera alone. Both cameras pair easily with the different monitors. Which is more than I wanted to do, but the upside is that now I have a backup monitor in case the replacement monitor fails again.
Here's a random tip one of you readers might find useful: Amtifo cameras can only pair with one monitor at a time. Whenever I switch them to the second monitor, the first monitor requires re-pairing. When you re-pair, you can (of course) pair it on any channel you'd like. So if you ever want to switch which camera is on which channel, that's how you do it.
Overall, I consider this outcome pretty good because after two years, I didn't expect customer service to be so helpful. All told, I spent probably about as much money in fixing this hardware failure as I would have expected to buy just a replacement monitor (if that had been an option, which it's not). There was a bit of wasted time figuring out compatibility issues and learning more about Amtifo systems than I would have liked. But now I think I have enough spare parts between the various systems that this purchase will last me for the next 4-5 years. And for less than other comparable systems that have worse picture & signal quality.
I received the system in just a couple of days. Installation was a snap since the kit comes with an adapter bracket and cable for attaching to the mount for the pre-existing Furrion system. It took about 30 minutes, to install the camera. Most of that time was spent gathering ladder, tools, etc. The monitor was even more simple. Just plug into the 12v power outlet in the truck. Worked great from the start. I did purchase a window mounting bracket for the monitor so I could install it up near the rearview mirror. Now it's just like having a rear view mirror even though there is a 34' trailer behind the truck.
Picture quality and refresh rate are great. What you see in the monitor is pretty much real time as far as I can tell. On the first trip, I was a little disappointed with the range of view. A quick adjustment at the campground and I could see all of the traffic behind me on the was home. The field of view is great You can easily tell once you clear a vehicle when passing so you don't cut someone off.
I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a wireless camera system.

In the interests of fairness I should point out that I have been asked to review this camera by the seller, Emmaky, who has paid for it!
This is an impressive camera system with a large clear monitor and excellent picture quality, it is very easy to install and setup.
Amtifo supply a connector in the package to allow the connection of the camera and monitor to one 12v supply and you are advised to test the camera and monitor before installing them, they are already paired so this is just a check.
Once you have decided where and how to mount the camera and connected it to a suitable power supply, you simply need to switch on the monitor and you have a very clear image of what’s behind you.
I mounted the camera on the rear roof of my caravan and there was no problem in the image coming up on the monitor on the dash of my Volvo XC90.
Both the camera and the monitor seem to be well made of high quality materials.
The menu system on the monitor is easy and intuitive to use and, should you wish, you can connect up to 4 cameras in total to the monitor switching easily between views.
If you install a memory card the system will record images should you need them.
I would thoroughly recommend this system if you are looking for a good quality reversing camera system at a good price.

Took it out for a test drive and the image quality was excellent with no image cutouts when driving and no issues at all. I used it to help monitor traffic while driving and it worked great.
Very happy with this product.
