Tape doesn't stick and 3M won't stand behind their product
Don't waste your time and money on this product. I have used it for years and have always saved a lot of money on my energy bill but this has gone way down in quality.Last year I bought two 84' x 237" kits (for three 5'3" x 7"3 windows, as well as a few other smaller windows). The tape would not stick. I looked up reviews here and saw a lot of them about the tape i so left one myself. They reached out to tell me it was a batch problem and sent me better (outdoor) tape. That tape worked fine and I was cozy and warm until March.I believed them about the batch problem last year so I bought two more kits this year. Again, the tape won't stick. I reached out to them and they asked for pictures. After receiving the pictures they told me that it was due to improper installation because I hadn't shrunk them with a hair dryer. I reapplied these three times and shrunk them each time until there was no longer enough film to cover the windows and I had to use clear packing tape in a couple of spots. They are wrinkly in the picture because there are gaps where the film is not stuck to the wall! I explained this several times and they just kept insisting that the problem was about shrinking, not that the tape wasn't stuck. In the end they offered to send me one kit out of the goodness of their hearts. When the kit arrived it was the smallest kit which is for 3ft x 5ft windows that won't fit any of my windows. Three of my windows are 5'3" x 7'3".
