Warm & Natural Twin Case
Warm & Natural is one of the finest needle-punched cotton batting! Only 15% of all cotton grown in the USA is the proper length, thickness and color. Out of this 15%, only 5% is clean enough for Warm & Natural! This soft, natural cotton has never been washed or bleached with harsh chemicals. It's kinder to the environment and kinder to your batting. The cotton undergoes a mechanical cleaning process removing all the seeds, seed coats, along with the majority of leaf and stem remnants. The remaining tiny plant particles lend a special look to crafts like no other and won't harm your quilt.
Quilt or tie up to 10" apart! Quilt Warm & Natural right out of the package, as pre-washing is not necessary. Once quilted, machine wash and dry your finished quilt in cold water. 3% shrinkage can be expected in the first wash with cold water. To achieve an antique puckered look use warm water for 5% shrinkage. Warm & Natural won't distort when hanging, hooping or when used in quilt frames. It can be used for both batting and as an exterior craft fabric to create stuffed snowmen and rabbits.

Synthetic (NOT this product): The batting thickness was very inconsistent - extremely thin in places (consistent with the reviews) and bunched up where it was folded... this bunching was not fixable. It seemed like poly-fil (like for pillows) had been rolled out into layers and I could very easily rip the batting up into pieces. It was also difficult to cut because of this. The whole sheet was translucent.
Warm and Natural (THIS product): This is like a blanket by itself - not translucent, and even thickness throughout. Thin enough to be easy to work with, but dense and obviously very WARM! It would not be possible to rip it in half with my hands, and it cut easily with sheers like any other thick fabric. I am SO GLAD I listened to my friend and got the cotton. It was the same price as the synthetic, easier to work with, and very obviously of a MUCH higher quality.
The batting is easy to work with and doesn’t shrink. This batting runs through my sewing machine with ease and doesn’t punch through the fabric like some other batting I have used in the past.
I’m really excited to finish my new quilt for my bed. I tend to run hot when I sleep and this cotton batting breath’s better than polyester batting. It’s also not heavy if I need to add an additional blanket for cold winter nights.

The white is great to use if your quilt colours are very pale. Warm and natural is easy to sew, doesn’t need to be pre washed and gives a lovely comfortable feel to your finished quilt.
