That said, I would probably categorize these more as all-around tires that are good in damp conditions than an actual mud tire. The knobs are extremely short. They're all just over a mm, whereas a standard mud tire will generally feature significantly taller knobs, and have side knobs that are of a greater height than the center knobs. So this tire does not dig in and bite in the corners in the same way that, say, a Donnelly PDX or Challenge Limus is going to. This makes it a faster rolling tire, but not a true mudder.
Also, as a final note, this is the tightest tire I have ever mounted to a rim, bar none. I broke one of my favorite plastic tire levers trying to pry the thing on. It was a real headache, and at one point I was almost ready to give up. The bright side of this is that you could run this thing with some incredibly low pressure without having to worry about burping. And now that the tire is mounted, I'm sure the bead will stretch just a bit and it'll be easier to get them on and off in the future. But be warned: that first time is going to be a challenge.
