Reason #1: This is a Marine Veteran-owned company and as a Marine Veteran myself I look to support veteran-owned companies whenever possible. With that said, I have very high expectations of any product that carries the label of "Veteran-owned" and ESPECIALLY one that carries the "Marine Veteran-owned" as we are always the most critical of our own. This product completely exceeded those very high expectations in every facet. The quality of the workmanship and attention to detail (Marines take great pride in this) makes this product stand on top of the mountain of other dip/weighted pull-up belts. Upon receiving this belt, one-day shipping via Prime, I was immediately impressed with the belt as it was over-built yet very comfortable to wear. The weight distribution and length and length of the strap were perfect and the supplied carabiners made it easy to connect and disconnect from the strap that holds the weight. I disconnect the strap entirely via the two carabiners and continue to wear the belt for superset movements and simply reattach the strap when needed. This brings me to my second reason.
Reason #2: This belt uses a strap and not a chain to attach weight to you and it is simply much easier on equipment. The strap will not dig into dumbbells or plates that you are using to add weight to your dips or your pull-ups. I work out in my garage and take great pride in the look and longevity of my equipment; let's face it money is not growing on trees. Another advantage to the belt is you can wrap it around a barbell for landmine work and attach your handles to the strap for all types of rowing work. This prevents metal-on-metal contact, again taking care of your equipment (whether it is yours or the local gym's) because if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you.
Reason #3: As 99% of the dip/weighted pull-up belts that I have used connect the weight via a chain that is also used to cinch the belt which leads to you pinching your shirt, I have put holes in many shirts this way, pinches your shorts and "other things" making it painful if not perfectly placed. This belt utilizes a dedicated strap for cinching the belt and D-rings that are sown in place on the front side of the hip area. This allows for no pinching, movement, or shifting whatsoever.
I have a 31" waistline and I purchased the Large that says it fits 30"- 40" waistlines and it fits great. If you have made it this far I appreciate you taking the time to read my review. I hope that I have helped you make an informed decision on this product. WHEN you buy it ;-) you will not be disappointed!
