This thing pumps out the heat and will easily warm up a room. My only issue with it is the heat/fan control. First thing to note: the heat has two settings which change heat output without changing fan speed. The high setting is great, but if you don't want it so hot, I found that the low setting is a bit too low. This is a minor complaint. Second thing to note: A bigger deal (to me) is the fan noise which I find to be a little too loud for my liking. I think it would have been better if the low heat setting also slowed down the fan to make it quieter.

I purchased this a year ago but only got to use it this year. I am very pleased with it. It really warms up a smallish room in no time. I also like that it has 2 heat settings as well as a fan setting. For the person who wrote it was structurally "unstable", if they had bothered to read the description, they would have known that the design is to have it shut off should it fall over. It's not unstable, it just needs to be placed on a solid surface for safety reasons.

I woke up one night and had to check to see if it was on it was so quiet (it was on). The tip over switch is simple and works. The thermostat is also simple (a scale rather than actual temperatures) but it only took one cycle of heating for us to find where we like it and we have never touched it since. The heater itself stays barely warm to the touch, even when it heats the whole place up. From a safety standpoint this is important. Nothing to burn little kids as they play. This heater is worth every penny.
