One complaint is it’s not loud, can’t hear it well if you drive with windows open.
I would recommend this speaker.
Specifically, the sound quality is not great. I've had to put the volume up to maximum to hear on even quiet roads, and I struggle to hear on rougher roads. The control to turn on the unit is on the side, it is more difficult to find when driving, and there isn't a light or indicator that it is on. The older unit had a convenient small red/blue light, and it was easier to press one button to connect to a call, or initiate one. This new one requires a LONG press to initiate a call, and it seems to lag to let you know with a tone that you were successful.
Overall, this will do the job if low cost is your primary concern.
Update: Motorola offered to replace it for free, I only had to pay shipping costs. Fine. For a few $$ I'll give it a try and maybe the one I had was just a dud. Nope. Same issues as before, and now it's only been a month and AGAIN it won't charge. I've contacted Motorola Custome Service AGAIN, and this time I'll be asking for either an upgrade, or a refund.
