Hint: use pencil soldering iron to make hole in tubing to thread itself into when attaching to hole in leather pouch. Make hole at least 3/8” from end, more than you think.
I’m experimenting with a collar (two-layer, graduated) of shrink tubing (1st photo) just at edge of metal fork attachment to reinforce for focal, extreme expansion during recoil. Collar extends ~3/8” from tip of fork. I suspect it will help reduce breakage. Vinyl or silicone tape less likely to work. Second photo shows narrowing within collar during draw (sorry photo’s blurry).
