So that said, as light weight as it is, it doesn’t have to withstand any impacts with a lot of force, so I think these materials are fine for a board this size.
I think calling it a flight case might be a bit of an oversell. I could definitely take it as a carryon and put it in an overhead compartment. If I had to check it I would probably just wrap it in gaff tape first to make sure it wouldn’t come apart, or just put it into my suitcase. It’s that small.
It’s very convenient to take the lid off and just be ready to go.
This is not the board for the guy that has to take 20 pedals on international tours with stacks of strymon on pedals all midi controlled. Just a lightweight little briefcase to make a minimal setup as convenient as possible.

First, you will definitely need to purchase separate velcro if that is your intended method of mounting. The board only comes with a few thin strips spaced several inches apart on the base - so unless you lay down extra most pedals (boss, MXR, etc.) won't fit securely - or even at all in the case of micro pedals. Thankfully I had some extra velcro, but the amount they send you is laughable.
Second, this thing is not invulnerable. While it's solid, you won't want to stack anything too heavy on top of it or it may crack.
Lastly, you WILL need right angle gig snakes for this. They don't really mention this, but since the edges are raised most straight jacks will not fit
Overall, a few minor complaints but it has held up to every challenge I've thrown at it so far. Pretty happy with it
Now that we got that out of the way...
It's light and does the job I need.
Can I put my Marshall Stack on top of it? No.
It is a pretty tough, lightweight, hard case.
From my house to my rehearsal space and to gigs it has no issue. Actually, I love it! You can throw it in the back of the van with all the other cases and bada boom! I'm actually trying to get my other guys to get the same one, so we can stack the really neat and save some space.
I'll buy another when needed. Unless we start flying... this is great!
Also, I added an extra layer of foam to the top. That's why mine looks junky.. it's a nice dark charcoal single piece of foam that it comes with... I just needed/wanted more.
Also, pro tip. Put your pedals in to face the hindge and get them as close to the edge as you can, so the don't try and slide down when you grab the handle and carry the thing.
Velcro can only do so much, then you have to be clever!
