Sailead Car Visor Polarized Extender Sun Blocker
►Aren't you sick and tired of all those occasions when your visor are not wide or long enough to prevent the glare from effectively blinding you? ►No matter as a driver or a passenger, you may be suffered from strong sunlight from windshield and side window
Eliminate Sun Glare, Block UV Rays & Protect Your Eyes With A SAILEAD Sun Visor Extender!
What Is Glare? When a bundle of light hits a flat surface, it becomes polarized, the bundle becomes concentrated and is blinding anyone observing it. Glare typically happens when waves of light bounce off reflective surfaces, such as road, car’s bumper or back window, snowy hillside, muddy road,or a patch of ice on the road. No matter what the case, the desired result is to filter out the distracting reflected light and provide a clear viewing experience for the driver .
How Polarized Lenses Work for You: In addition to reducing glare, polarized lenses ease eye strain from long hours in the sun. And if you experience headaches due to light sensitivity, polarized lenses may help you experience fewer occurrences and less intense headaches. Polarized lenses can also increase visual clarity, contrast, and acuity, making your environment more enjoyable. And when you’re able to see better, you may be able to mentally determine what you're seeing quicker, which can help improve reaction time.

Installation: The installation of this visor took a little while to figure out because the velcro is sewn on in a strange way but once I figured it out it went on ok. It's not a tight fit and this visor moves slightly from side to side on my regular car visor.
Using The Visor: The visor is thick so the regular car visor will not go up completely against the roof. I need to block the sun on my left side while driving in the morning and when I reach my destination, it's difficult to lock the car visor back into the notch on the car ceiling because this visor extension is so thick. If your car sun visor hangs down normally if it's not locked in place, then your visor will hang down even more.
Blocking the sun: This visor does a great job at blocking 95% of the sun. The polarized visor is very dark. There is a "square" shaped gap that the polarized visor and the side pull out visor creates where the sun can still shine through. This happens to me a couple of time during my commute so I just lean forward in my seat to get the sun behind the polarized visor.
The smaller side visor: This smaller visor that pulls out is difficult to use. It doesn't slide out easily if it's pushed in all the way into the slot. it came from the manufacturer with it pushed in all the way. I struggled to get it out. I have to leave it partially out of the slot because there's no way I can pull it out while driving - it's a very tight fit if pushed in all the way.
The Polarized Visor: It doesn't push in all the way into the slot when you don't need it. In the afternoon, my regular car visor is adequate to block any sun; however, because the polarized visor doesn't slide up completely into the slot, it is always hanging down when I lower my regular car visor. That's a little annoying. Also, because the polarized visor is so dark, it's difficult to see through while driving through shaded areas. For example, I have to turn left at a corner during my commute, and that corner is shaded by trees so when I make the turn, I have a difficult time seeing where I'm going. I have to quickly push the polarized visor into the slot then lower it again once I get past the shady part in the road.
Visor Mirror: If you have a mirror on your regular car visor, this visor extension will cover it up. There's no way to access your visor mirror unless you completely remove this visor extension.
Overall I would recommend this visor. If you drive in a lot of blinding sun, then it's a life saver. I'm glad I have it now. I know my review makes it sound like a bad purchase but it's actually a good product. You'll have to play around with it to see what works for you. I just wanted to point out the things I noticed that makes it annoying so you could make an informed decision.
- Versatile. Seems like it can attach to the front or back of either the driver’s side or passenger side.
The Bad (for me):
- If the velcro is accidentally allowed to attach to my vehicle’s headboard cloth, there is no way to remove without taking some of the headboard cloth with it. I’ve had this vehicle for years now and now there are furry spots on my headboard that never would’ve been there if it weren’t for this product. And when I say “accidentally”, I’m being kind— there is no apparent way around this without using something to cover the product’s velcro, perhaps with some electrical tape (eventually messy from car heat), or maybe if you can get ahold of enough of the same kind of velcro and glue it back to back so that the side that doesn’t stick to headboards (“loop” side I suppose) is facing outward. Front or back of visor, doesn’t matter— on my vehicle, it WILL make contact somewhere when vehicle visor is folded up, or even in parts when folded down. Seems like this could be easily avoided if the manufacturer would just flip around all the Velcro, but without a larger design change, this would make it so that on one side of the vehicle, you’d be limited to front or back of the visor and vice-versa. That last part isn’t worth getting into but you’d see what I mean if you owned this.
- Too small, for my large vehicle at least. Needs to be about 50% bigger. Probably just right for vehicles with reasonably-sized windshields, so I don’t blame them here.
- it just slides around. The Velcro attaches it to the visor, but when you pull down or out from the side, the whole unit slides around on the visor instead of staying in place, before it comes out. Again, this is probably because my visor is significantly larger than the product— I could see this not being an issue if the product was larger than the visor or at least close to its size.

When installing, I noticed it blocks the visor mirror, so I strapped it to the backside of the car visor instead. But it doesn’t matter, because the straps are sewed closely together and aren’t movable. So the strap still hold down the front side mirror on the car visor. Either way, meh.
But then, I noticed the prickly side of the Velcro straps catch on the car roof fabric. SO if I continue to use this, it will shred the fabric and that’s not a cheap or easy fix. So I’ve opted to NOT use this product at all.
In the end, even on sale, it’s not worth the wait and return for this item.
