Iroshizuku--The Inspiration

The name "Iroshizuku" is a combination of the Japanese words "Iro" meaning Coloring, expressing high standards and variation of colors, and "Shizuku" meaning Droplet, which embodies the very image of dripping water. Each ink name derives from the expression of beautiful Japanese natural landscapes and plants, all of which contribute to the depth of each individual hue. Enjoy the rich and subtle colors of Japan as you write.

A Beautiful Spectrum of Nature-Inspired Hues

Pilot Iroshizuku Bottled Fountain Pen ink is offered in a beautiful spectrum of 24 nature-inspired hues ranging from Azalea Pink (Tsutsuji) to Bamboo Charcoal (Take-sumi.) Pilot's premium water-based fountain pen ink is created using the highest standards for eye-catching variations of color.

Iroshizuku ink has been carefully formulated for use in your most treasured fountain pens. As fountain pens can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, it's important to use an ink worthy of the caliber of your investment. Pilot's Iroshizuku ink is a fountain pen ink you can use with confidence so nothing gets in the way of your personal writing expression.

The Iroshizuku Bottle--Functional Elegance

Each artfully designed Iroshizuku ink bottle is individually made from hand-blown glass. Due to the nature of the glass-blowing process, each bottle contains subtle variations in the shape of the interior ink reservoir, making each bottle into a work of art, with no two bottles exactly the same.

The expertly designed Iroshizuku bottle also features an angled notched bottom which allows fountain pens to drink up every drop of ink. An elegant paper label with the Japanese name of the ink color, a knotted silver cord, and a faceted black cap embellish the glass bottle. Each bottle contains 50 ml of premium fountain pen ink for lasting enjoyment of your favorite fountain pens.
