These lights have blown my mind!! If you place them in direct sun for several hours a day they light up most the night til 2-4am. Very bright for medium to large trees. Most friends can’t believe they are solar.
But very much needs bright direct light to charge. Cloudy days or non-direct light affects its power and illumination greatly. So if you have direct sunny days it is unbelievable! If not it still works but not nearly to its max potential.
