Pros: When I bought these, the price was still reasonable. It's fast and easy to dial the weight that you want. The grip is pretty comfortable. The whole set has a very small footprint compared to a full set of dumbbells especially if you get the stand that's made for them, which is available for a better price at the core fitness website. That stand is well designed and holds the dumbbells at a good height for picking up and putting back down.
Cons: one of the "10 lb" dumbbells is a little tricky to put back in the cradle. Hopefully that's not something that's going to worsen over time. Other than that one dumbbell at that one weight, they click back into place easily. I find them a little hard to hold securely when trying to do a goblet squat or curl, or behind-the-head tricep extension, or any exercise where you have both hands placed on the inside of the plates on a single dumbbell, as opposed to gripping the handle. But for regular dumbbell exercises they work great! A con for some people might be that they only go up to 50 lbs. But at my age and strength level, that's plenty. Overall, I'm very pleased.
