Excellent Bag!
5 Stars
Excellent Bag!
So, I hate to start with a negative, but one downside to this bag is what I noticed once I received it. It weighs a LOT. 7.5 pounds (per the description) before you even put anything in it. Load it with an AR (I only put one AR in), a pistol, magazines for each, yardage finder, etc., etc. and, well, you add 7.5 pounds to whatever your gear weighs. So, it’s a good thing they put backpack straps on it! However, even that’s bad to an extent. When the SHTF and you grab your bug out bag, where does this go? There is no shoulder strap included and can you imagine carrying this in your hand for any duration of time?? It has 2 rings for a shoulder strap (not included), but they are placed right on the bottom of opposite ends of the hand straps, so about 10-12” apart. It would have been much better to spread these out more for a more stable carry.Ok, those things aside, this bag is pretty amazing. It will hold 2(?) long guns, pistols, magazines, safety gear (although not sure it would store over ear protection very well), and will do so feeling that everything inside is protected really well. This thing is padded all the way around, has a thick pad (removable via Velcro) in the middle to separate the long guns, and has more pockets than all of my wife’s purses. I can almost use this bag alone as my range bag, just depending on how many guns I want to take and how much ammo I plan on burning through. It feels very durable and stout. Even when empty, the bag is fairly rigid and stiff and doesn’t bend over on itself like cheaper single rifle bags do. I like that. I can stand it up in the corner (empty) and it stays standing up, so I don’t have to find a lot of space to store this. The backpack straps feel pretty hefty and are padded fairly well. With the amount of weight in the bag, when I went to the range and tested carrying it on my back, with 1 AR with 6 full magazines, 1 pistol with 2 full magazines, extra ammo for both, and various little odds and ends, I wore the bag comfortably, for a while. It did start to wear on me, but that’s mainly because the straps don’t seem to have a lot of adjustment (unless I’m just missing it). I let them out as far as I could and it’s still a tight fit. I’m about 6’-1” and about 220. It just seems that they should let out a lot more than they do so I could adjust where they ride more than I can.The zippers are all good and feel sturdy and they do not stick. The only issue I’ve had at all is the padding inside wants to stick out on one corner. Tuck it back in and it zips right up.The 3 outside magazine pouches have Velcro and clasped straps to help hold your goodies inside. For a tactical bag, I’m not a huge fan of Velcro, but for a range bag and storage, it’s alright. Towards each end of the bag is a zippered sleeve pocket. These are pretty tight. Good for a small pistol, laser bore sighter, Allen Wrenches or other small tools, etc. Behind the main three ammo pouches on the outside is another zippered compartment with 4 more sleeve pockets, 2 held with zippers and 2 held with Velcro. The 2 with Velcro again are a little tight and are good for slipping pistols in, papers, or other thin items, while the zippered sleeves have quite a bit more room to them.Should also mention that inside, each side of the bag has 2 velcro straps to help hold your long guns in place, as well as corner pads on each end to tuck the barrel tip in to help protect it and keep it in place. So, overall, this is a great bag. I have a lot of accessories on my AR, so I’m not entirely sure how putting a 2nd AR, or a shotgun, rifle, etc, would actually work. I only have the 1 AR and some pistols, so I can’t really test it. However, I just sense that it would be a tight fit with another gun in there. A more stripped down AR with no flashlight or side accessories and I might feel differently.Going back to the SHTF scenario, I still don’t know what my choice would be with this bag. I carry my backpack on my back, and then I have to see what to do with this. Keeping the AR covered is the main goal (would still be illegal to open carry, unless the SHTF scenario is that the government collapses and then all bets are off). I would be wearing my vest or LBE, so my AR mags would be in that for access. My pistol is on my hip with another in my backpack. With no decent shoulder carry option, I think this becomes a hinderance more than a help. I still can’t believe the placement of the rings, unless they are simply for clipping other gear to and were never intended for a strap, in which case this gun has NO intentions for a shoulder strap. I guess if you can get your bug out gear in this bag, then you have an all-in-one bag, but I don’t see that as possible. But, for a range bag, a carrying case for hunting or to the field, for storage, or for any other use, this bag is still amazing. If you are into airsoft, this would be an amazing bag to bring all your gear with you. It would hold it amazingly well.Still giving this bag 5 stars simply because of the construction, durability, the amount of pockets and storage, and the overall function of it. Remove the Velcro and give me a decent shoulder strap setup and this bag would be near perfect for a lot of scenarios. In the pictures I’ve included, I’m trying to hold the pockets open as far as they go without “stretching” their limits. I’ve also tried to show the ring placement for what I assume would be a strap. You can see the rings at the bottom of each side of the handle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do yourself a favor and just buy it!! Great heavy-duty bag with heavy-duty zippers!!
Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2019
Disclaimer- I have not been compensated for this review!!

I do not usually review items I purchase but I have been so impressed by this product that I simply felt the need to post a review so everyone can enjoy this tactical bag!

I ordered the Savior black American Classic bag (36x12). I have only had it about three weeks. It is the smallest size they offer on Amazon and it fits my S&W MP15 perfectly. I have a buddy who ordered the same size bag (in olive green) for his AR15 who let me see the bag with his weapons and AR in it, so I already knew exactly which size to order.

The Savior bag I purchased arrived early and was packaged very nicely. Upon unpackaging the bag, the very first thing I noticed was how durable and well-made the bag was. The fabric on my bag is quite thick and has a rugged feel to the touch. It feels like heavy-duty nylon. The stitching on the grab-handles and backstraps is double-stitched and reinforced ("X"). The zippers and teeth all around the bag are heavy duty, as I already have mentioned, and all the zipper pull-tabs have para-cord attached to the eyelets for easy grab and pull. (Get your minds out of the gutter, folks). The three large pockets on the front exterior of the bag are perfect for loaded mags, eyes and ears or whatever else you wish to carry in them. All three pockets have quick-release closures and para-cord drawstrings. There are also two extra zippered storage pockets with Molle webbing on them, one pocket at each end of the front of the bag.

The top and bottom of the bag has quick-release closures which lets you snug up the bag nice and tight once fully packed. There are two main compartments; one for rifles and a second, slightly smaller, compartment for pistols.

The rifle compartment has room for two rifles, or two tactical shotguns, or a rifle and a tactical shotgun, each seperated by a seemingly just thick enough pad hinged between the two guns. (In fact, if I have any complaints about this bag, it is that the divider pad could be thicker; but I believe it should be enough as is to protect the rifles from each other). Each rifle compartment has two corner triangle pockets, for tucking in and for securing each end of each gun, further protecting them. Finally, each rifle compartment provides two velcro straps for securing each rifle, one strap towards each end of each rifle. With this system, I feel very comfortable that my rifles will be safe and secure in this bag.

Everything in the pistol compartment is held in place securely by zippered enclosures (extra storage pockets- one vertical and one horizontal) or by velcro (pistols). There are also two fiber D rings, one on the outside of each pistol pocket.

Overall, I must say that I am very pleased with my Savior bag. I have had other tactical bags in the past made by other manufacturers that have claimed to be durable and tough but did not make the grade. I was very surprised when my Savior bag arrived and I could feel how rugged and durable it was. My buddy had said the same thing- he also was quite impressed. It was funny that I turned him onto the bag on Amazon; he ended up going right home and ordered it before I did. In fact, when I saw his Savior bag, I was so impressed that it only made me want to hurry up and order mine. (The only reason I hadn't already was because I was in between pay periods). Keep in mind I have only had this bag for almost a month now, but so far I have had no issues whatsoever with it. I will update this post after I have had the bag for some time, but I don't expect to have any issues with this bag. It is much more well constructed than any other bag I've owned before.

This is a great tactical bag for a great price. You can't go wrong with this- just buy it already!!!

Reviewed in Canada on April 3, 2021
So far these have been outstanding, I purchased the next to largest (55; or 53) and it’s great but for backpack it’s big. SoI purchased this size and it’s been an awesome bag. My fnar competition 308 just fit. It was almost to tight that I worried it might bust a seam but it all cam out ok. My Berrelle MR1 was lots of room and fit fine. 8 threw a box of 150 rods 223 in the middle pocket and boxes of 308 in the other two, only the middle pocket even looked used. I’ve now purchased the smallest for my. Carbines and the goal is to ride my Indian Chief Dh to the range with a fun gun or two on my back for some range fun. Mtf
