It will run for about 60-75 minutes or so on one cannister of fuel. This makes it very useable for short day trips or even longer overnight/weekend trips in your JEEP.
I wouldn't try using this for backpacking, though. It is much too big and awkward for that. But for JEEP trips or a picnic or overnight, it's perfect.
Took it on a cross country roof top camping trip. Nice output, generally get two days use cooking in evening and coffee and toast in the morning.
The cons....
It's butane, try buying butane in some places, especially remote areas and even larger western towns, could not fine. We will be going with a combo unit this year butane/propane....Propane canisters were abundant almost everywhere.
Hope this helps...
It’s incredibly easy to use: position the butane canister in correctly, shut the flap, and turn it on. No manual lighting, no pumping anything for fuel pressure. I foresee taking it on picnics with the grandchildren to do hotdogs for them, as well as using it for my own camping. Great product!
Top reviews from other countries
Havent decided yet whether I would bring it on a solo canoe trip as it is a bit large and heavy for that application, but I would rely on this stove for a trip with many campers without a doubt.
Heat (simmer) control is spot on, wind protection for the element is top notch and it just looks great in the woods. I did find it a bit hungry on fuel, but that is a small price to pay for a reliable stove.
Highly recommend this stove, I would by it a second time without any hesitation.
Good build, compact design, nice carrying case/box. Self starter in the knob is very helpful. Design also ensures the flame keeps on going even in the strong wind. Pretty happy with this one.
